Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy at RehaGym ideally follows an examination by a rehabilitation physician. Your first visit starts with a conversation: we discuss your acute or chronic problems and together set an individual plan and goal for your rehabilitation. A visit to the physiotherapist should be one step in a wider process of improving the quality of your movement and your lifestyle.

How the examination and therapy work

The examination begins the moment you walk into the room – your natural movement tells us a great deal.

The physical examination itself begins the moment you walk into the room — a great deal can be read from the way you move naturally. This is followed by functional tests of the mobility of individual body segments and neurological tests; we assess muscle strength and joint range of motion, analyse complex movements such as walking and squatting and, where needed, complete the examination by palpation.

Therapy combines exercise, manual techniques and modern physical therapy. You will encounter methods such as DNS (dynamic neuromuscular stabilisation), Vojta reflex locomotion, PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation), kettlebell training, resistance bands, kinesio taping and modern Stecco fascial manipulation. We also use the BTL device for electrotherapy, ultrasound therapy and combined therapy.
